Photography has been the most fun for me when it comes to break and remake. I found myself having so many overwhelming amounts of ideas. I was strongly drawn to the idea of cutting an image and piecing it together again or even creating something new. I liked the idea of making a multi layer photo using my own images as well as scraps of paper from magazines, books etc.

I started off with basic ideas as I wanted to see what I could start with and then watch that develop. I found that cutting pieces out of the face and manipulating the position of that cut piece was more striking to me that simply cutting away larger sections and added a layer to it. The intricacy of cut sections is what developed into style for me. I found that cutting these pieces and creating a negative space of the model was also an effective and very interesting result which I found fun.

For my second experiment I like the idea of creating a surrealist type of image. I found that putting something into a photo which wouldn't necessarily be there exciting as it would gave the image a new perspective. For some I added pieces into the photo like the branch and barb wire. This came out pretty well and I found the idea to be successful. This experiment was fun and exciting to produce but it wasn't what I wanted to focus all my ideas on, so I went back to my first idea and planned to develop that.
